Hi Jesse,

I just wanted to let you know that I received your wonderful gifts yesterday. I was so pleasantly surprised and excited when I saw your package. The Cards are lovely, loved your expression on the picture of yourself included with all the goodies. Wish I could have been at Joe's Pub to join in the remembrance your Father.

Thank you very much for your kindness, thoughtfulness & generosity :o)

Warm Wishes!

Ah, great way to close the post with Maria Callas' birthday!!! I love Maria Callas. Will listen to some recordings soon I think!

Thank you so much for the good wishes and all the very best to you too!

I loved seeing the crescent moon just before this last new moon - it was beautiful as we had some clear days at that time in the UK (I'm in Berlin with my sister this week and the weather is very different here at the moment, mostly grey, but cosy with candles inside).

PS: I also did some winter/advent things in the last days before coming here last Tuesday - writing cards and adding some colour to them myself for people that I'm sending Christmas mail to a bit earlier as the international mail even to Europe takes a bit longer (and I realised also a few countries even no longer have daily mail deliveries which is so so sad I think!)

Dear Jesse,

Congratulations on getting your new studio space set up! Thank you for offering to send us our gifts but here in Toronto Canada we are in the midst of a postal strike, so no mail is being delivered by the standard postal service. But I’m still working on my current project - releasing my album that I began recording in May 2023. Amazing how long it has taken to get through each stage of the project. All the best to you in the new studio!

So inspiring to make play stations of sorts, indoor gardens of sorts, to set up self-contained boundaries for various sorts of activities and interests, thank you for celebrating this amazing way of being and for leading the way. Intriguing!

So great to see the workspace taking shape. I had a very productive day today by design. I was a complete couch potato and watched the whole season of The Later Daters on Netflix (my image now torn to shreds lol) I have also become addicted to Gilmore Girls and am resuming that for the rest of the evening.

I may begin my new Substack post later in the evening - which would surely end my unproductive streak for the day:))

New moon. new month and the 100th anniversary of my mother’s birth. Rose was loved by many, in particular her eight children. I was raised Catholic tradition, so this is also the first Sunday of Advent, the season of preparation for Christmas. How do I prepare for the return of the light? Filling my home and heart with twinkling lights, making cookies and gifts and celebrating in community.
