I don’t know about everyone else but 2025 has felt like such a theatrical demolition of so many old structures, peeling back the curtain on just how much personal responsibility and creative power each and every one has got to live in keeping with what they believe is important, to act even on a small scale to forge the kind of world we long to exist in
So I make a wish for us all to kick the door open on 2026 with our eyes hearts and minds open! To swap despair for ground level and arm length actions in favor of the wonder of being alive. To honor beloved ancestors, and strive to become the kind of ancestors that future generations can be proud of ✨
Congratulations on two years, Jesse! I’ve been very grateful to have been a witness to your efforts, struggles and successes over the past year plus (since I hopped aboard). Your dedication and positivity continues to be a boon, especially when times get tough. I hope that we return some of that good spirit in turn, giving you a boost when you most need it. So, as always, many thanks. 🙏
Also, very kind of you to include a tribute to Rico on Lee’s behalf. Our animal friends are so very special to us, aren’t they? (I happen to write this from a cat cafe near home; about 15 beautiful, well cared for cats of all types and colors—my son is in heaven.:^D)
I’ve been without power all day, but it just came back on. Yay!!! It was a good day to snuggle with the cat. I’ve really enjoyed your live posts and your writings.
Jesse, it has been a priledge to be with you for the last two years. Congratulations you wild thing! Love hearing about your adventures. Only my very best to you for a Merry Christmas and a New Year full of love and surprises! Thank you for being you and for your writings.
Since I'm new to your substack, I would say the highlight of "our time together" was the Friday Horses show at the Beacon, taking it all in from the upper level. :) The warmth, kindness and humanity that you show here are very welcoming!
Congratulations, Jesse! I remember reading your first pose about you and I commented that it's nice to get to know you because once, many years ago, I had sung Happy Birthday for you on a concert of your Mom. And you immedeately answerd to my comment! And I thought: Wow! She is really reading everything! This was a very special feeling, astonishing and euphoric somehow. :-) Now I know that you are really reading everything and spending a lot of effort for your subscibers ( even sending presents!) Whish you safe travels and a wonderful event tonight. Kiss your mom from me! :-))
I loved seeing the Antiquarian Book Fair with you!
I have a new mailing address since last year’s anniversary! Will send…
Had the great joy of seeing you and your mom in January at Symphony Space … an affirming and needed evening of music, story, and community. ✨💛✨💛✨
12/19 bday here!
Congratulations to you, looking forward to learning more about the authentic you!
Rest in Power, Rico 🕯️
